Thanks for the suggestions, Johnny. I've read the first two in the Mistborn series and have really liked them. As for the Wheel of Time series, I read the first 11 years ago and then Jordan was having problems finishing because of his health. I haven't tried to read the rest, because I'd have to read the first ones all over again to remember all the characters. And of course I've read Lord of the Rings, but that's a great suggestion. I started reading The Dark Tower series a long time ago, but never finished it. I'll check out The Black Company.

As for The Wheel of Time, I have to admit, I had problems remembering all the characters at first. After a while though you get used to it, and by the end of the second book you know most characters by name.
Unfortunately, Robert Jordan died in 2007. However, Brandon Sanderson (author of Mistborn) was chosen to finish the series, and he has done a masterful job. The last three books written by him are actually some of the best in the series.
Have fun reading The Black Company. I read the first trilogy twice myself, and I feel like rereading it again every once in a while. It's just so damn entertaining.
