Rade I agree with the previous comment, that was well said. I mean, look it Maximum Overdrive that was directed by Stephen King himself. It was based on one of his short stories that were about machines working together to go against humans. It sucked. The story was good though. Leave it to people who know movies to do movies. It's just that simple.

Rade I don't know what he was thinking. If he knew it would suck, why would he go ahead and do it. He doesn't need the money apparently, since he wrote a lot of books and claims he never did it for money. He also sells rights to his short stories for only one dollar (I heard this on numerous occasions).

Rade Honestly, I never saw pet Semetary. I know the basic gist of it but I never got around to read it. I started this little tradition where I have to read all the books before watching movie versions of them. I do have exceptions, but since Pet Semetary is a classic, I don't want to spoil the fun. Rarely any books scare me these days. I read The Shining and I found it creepy but not too scary. Oh, and he sells rights of his short stories to aspiring filmmakers and theater producers but maybe not big Hollywood production comanies

Rade The Shining and Misery were two books that I could not put down. I just kept going until I read them. Took me two days. I never heard of that Hellfire book. I will look it up. Thanks for the recommendation

Rade Thank you, and Misery was great. One of my favorite King's books.

Jeni I'm throwing in the Talisman as a favorite to read. I just love that one. I also second Gerald's Game.

Jeni Mission accomplished, then? hehe.

Rade Thank you for recommendation, Kyle. I never read Gerald's Game. I have hardcover version of it but I never got around to reading it. Jeni, thank you for recommending The talisman. I never read that one either. I guess you can say I am a bit behind. SK books are pretty big. If they are not big, they are packed with information. I've been reading IT for a long time. Barely passed half point mark.

Rade I think I'll save The Stand as the very last book I will read by SK. I heard it's great, but obviously really long

Rade I love post apocolyptic book. I want something besides your "there is a plague, we humans must survive by any cost" thing. Since it's long, I might read parts of it at a time.

I'll probably read The Talisman too. I have it on my kindle, but didn't start it yet

Rade I swear that book has been on my shelf for many year, just waiting to be read. I read Animal Farm and thought that one is next but I got distracted with something else. I will read that book this year or I will never read it. I put it aside way too many times. If you have any others that are worth reading, let me know. I need new books to read. I enjoy horror, suspense, thriller, action, mystery and everything in between

Rade Thanks a lot. I just added all of these to me to read list. It's actually pretty hard to find good books to read these days. I am on my Stephen King or classic books flow right now. I need to read more classic books. My school was big on Shakespeare and he got kind of annoying.

Rade One of my resolutions this year is to read To Kill A Mockingbird. I have the paper copy. Almost everyone here on Goodreads has read it at some point in their life. A true classic.

As for Edger Allen Poe, I have his entire published collection of stories and poems. It's a HUGE book. I only read The Raven but I plan on reading more by him.

I got to say, you have a great taste in books. Keep up the good work and send me a message if you read a good book that you think will interest me. I am always open to suggestions, opinions, recommendations, whatever.
