I agree... Gale was always there for her. Peeta only truly came into the picture during the hunger games, when they're love was forced and fake... then became real. Gale all the way.
Gale may not have done it on purpose, but he still did it and was involved in it. And Gale only said he 'loved' Katniss after the games and after Peeta had already confessed his love for her on national television. I for one, only think Gale was just jealous. Besides, Peeta knows more about what Katniss has been through then Gale.
