I mean I am sure she thought about it and didn't just say 'oh yeah that dumbledore... but she could have written it at least in one book.
If you re read the stories about grindlewald its kinda becomes more obvious. Spending all day together then sending notes to each other in the middle of the night because they couldn't wait until the next day to speak etc.
I've never heard of a writer, and especially one as good as JKR, not providing background and understanding of a character before beginning a story. Never. She knew he was from the beginning. It's not a ploy to gain the gay vote or anything, just a statement of fact about a character she created.
Oh right, I will pay more attention to those scenes when I re-read, thanks :D.
Oh no I totally agree with that, I just think it would of made, more sense maybe if it was stated in the book - like I don't know why (even though it was maybe implied) it was never really stated. If you get me - I'm not hating on J.K. because I love her.
Well, my own thoughts are that she made no big deal out of any differences between people, be it orientation, skin color, nationality, or blood line. She seems to be a big proponent of liking people for who they are, not what they look like or what their orientation is. It just wasn't a big deal. My own two cents. :D
