oh....What a relief!
If you read all the answers before you'll see that several people have already said that he was gay, Rowling said this in an interview. there's a link in my previous comment about that.
So was ALBUS DUMBLEDORE gay or was RICHARD HARRIS/MICHAEL GAMBON gay? Confused, here!
