I hope you enjoy Miss Melville Jesse. I've read all the Mrs. Pollifax series as well - but never in order! I was really saddened to see that Ms. Gilman had passed. I need to start hitting my local used bookstores and compile the Mrs. Pollifax series so I can read them in order. That's a lovely thought about Mrs. P out there having adventures!
I was saddened to see that Ms. Gilman had passed too, Vickie. Out of all of the authors I read, she is one who I really would have loved to meet face to face, back when she was alive and well, to have a good conversation with her. It is fun to read the Mrs. P series on order at least once, to see the character development...I think it unfolds in a very satisfying way.
