Yes, that's what I also thought. Biddy was very kind, loyal, wise and unselfish (like Joe but in a female version).

It was a shame Pip was too late when he realized Biddy was the one. However, he had a good reaction when he knew about Biddy and Joe, contrary to those who become totally depressed and regret it for the rest of their lives.

Biddy did love him but he was to wrapped up in himself and how he appeared and should act and be looked upon by others. So glad to see though that in the end he was humble enough to be happy for Biddy and Joe and to realize just how much they both meant to him; for awhile there I thought he would never get there
