Uh, Peter Pettigrew was a Gryffindor, and he went bad. Notably good Slytherins include: Horace Slughorn, Regulus Arcturus Black, and Andromeda Black Tonks (Tonks' mother, Tonks was in Hufflepuff, and her father was, I think, in Gryffindor).
Pettigrew has a redeeming moment, Slughorn is described as a coward and just generally not a good person, RAB has a redeeming moment, and was Andromeda in Slytherin? We don't really know much about her.
