Percy/Reyna/Annabeth? since when was that a love triangle? Reyna basically hit on Percy and he rejected her, that was it.
I think Rick just includes these triangles because they add depth to his story and makes it relatable.

actually, there were three. It was Jason/Piper/Reyna, Leo/Hazel/Frank, and Percy/Reyna/Annabeth. Yeah, they were small and insignificant, but I just thought it was kind of annoying to shove three love triangles in a single book that isn't even romance. And love triangles can usually lead to the protagonists turning into whiny morons.

Yeah, it wasn't to big, but there were a few sentences that mentioned how Reyna must be ~*heartbroken*~ since both Percy and Jason rejected her. Like I said, it didn't bother me all that much, it just felt extremely unnecessary.
