I agree with you Jayme. I have nothing but admiration for her honesty and her nerve to challenge societies attitude to rape and the victim. I have a friend who was raped and became pregnant. She never had the strength to bring the rapist to justice, to face judgement of her family and friends and even less a court. She is still living with the 'shame.' 20 years later, although on the surface of it she is living a 'normal' life with husband and kids (the pregnancy by the rapist was terminated.) But her life will never be normal, because her whole perception of herself changed beyond recognition that day.
