I completely agree with you, except about it being my favorite. I loved the book, though, and I felt there was no other way to end it. This was not a happy story. Sure, she got with the boy that the audience was hoping she'd get with, (which I felt Collins was being decent in adding. Honestly, she could have left Katniss like Haymitch.), but they are so screwed up that they can't even figure out how to explain it to their kids. Everyone's wanting some great ending, something to bring closure, but that can't happen in a story like this.
