Saphana And it will be. According to interviews, he gave in Spain, he has 200 pages ready, another 200 that need complete review and 18 month have passed since the release of the last one. Were he a linear guy, it would take him 3 x 18 month to finish (manuscript pages, mind you, not "finished" pages. So yes, I think, 5-6 years is appropriate.

Chris Ward Any time before 2015 would be a bonus, and that's a conservative estimate. I'm sure it'll be worth the wait, but I think it might even be longer than the gap between the previous two books. He has a lot more commitments these days.

Rob It's not a matter of commitments. Martin writes by the seat of his pants when the inspiration comes on him. He doesn't plot things out in detail, and he's not the kind of writer who can just churn out 15 pages a day. If he's not feeling it, he can't write.
