Ken I always liked the book and have reread it recently. It and George Orwell's 1984 goes hand in hand with Ayn Rands Anthem.

Ken If you have read Ayn Rand's "We the living" you might find that the it could be linked to George Orwell's 1980, or even his "Animal Farm". It took Orwell about 4 tries to get his 1980 published because we didn't want to get the Russians mad at us. It took Ayn Rand longer to get her "We the living" for the same reason we didn't want to get them mad at us.

Sandy (WI girl at heart) Thanks Ken for a book I have never heard of, I must live a sheltered life (lol). I took a look at
"We the living" and put it on my list for future reading because it looked good.

Ken I'm glad I could give a new book to read. There is also a movie that is in Italian with English subtitles. It was made in Italy during the war. It was a big hit. When Mussolini finally realized that it was against is government beside the Nazi's and the Communist.

Ken He banned the movie in Italy. It can still be had on DVD and that is now on my must by movie list.
