Kill the Spare I can't swallow the fact that Valerie is willing to have an affair with a married man especially with kids when she herself has been cheated on. She's an otherwise intelligent woman.. So I pictured it from the beginning that she would come to her senses. Clearly, I was wrong :/

Maxwell03 I'm with you..I completely understand her attraction to the handsome doctor who saved her son, but she was suppoosed to be this smart, self-sufficient lawyer...surely, at the very least, she would have asked Nick about his marriage/relationship with his wife before she slept with him. I also found it hard to swallow her complete disregard for Nick's kids since she was supposedly
such a good mom. Just couldn't sympathize with her at all.

Stephanie Wow Amy, I'm surprised you don't seem to have any sympathy or empathy for the wife and and children Nick is morally and legally obligated to and responsible for. That you wanted to see Tessa's home-wrecked in favor for "the other woman" whose misfortunes are, at the end of the day, consequences of her own actions. That's ice cold.

Yes, it was heartbreaking to see her alone after all she's been through but why does she deserve him? She's better than him, actually. But really, I'm sure if you were in Tessa's shoes (I hope you never are) you'd feel entirely different.

I hated the ending too. He should have been left in the dust by both women and experienced some misfortune accident that ruined his hands so he's have to experience struggling pyso-rehabilitation ALL ALONE, while he tries to restore his ability to practice surgery.

Elena Why would we root for a woman having an affair with a married man? Sure, she's been through a lot - but that's her own fault (and Nick's), not Tessa's... Why should Tessa lose a husband!? But in a way , I get what you mean - the author didn't really write Valerie's character as a total home-wrecker, at times I found Valerie quite lovable... But that doesn't excuse what she participated in (adultery)... Actually, just the fact that these women seemed to be "fighting" over this piece of sh*t man was frustrating to me! The author almost made us root for which woman we want to get the guy - whereas the guy was a total slime ball - NO ONE should WANT this guy! HE should have been the one to end up alone!

Linda The problem here Elena is that men like Nick never end up alone. He's a Doctor, he's handsome and he's smooth. Women will always be falling all over him. If these 2 women left him he would just move on to another one until he tired of her.

Elena Linda - yes - so true!
