The Notebook. before they made any movies by Nicholas Sparks. I stopped reading his books after the 5 or 6th one ... they were basically all the same ... became boring reads, predictable.
The Notebook and then Message in a Bottle. I remember reading MIB while driving and bawling at the sad parts and the whole car asking me what was wrong. I've been a fan since the beginning and read them as they came out.
The Notebook...when it first came out. Cried my eyes out, as my grandmother had Alzheimer's and was going through the same thing.
Mine was A Walk to Remember. I saw the movie and loved it. When I heard it was based on a book, I read it and was hooked. I have read EVERY book of his.
Mine was "A Walk To Remember." I read it because my teen daughter was hooked on the movie, and I was trying to find a book that would hold her interest, as she has visual perceptual disabilities and didn't enjoy reading.
My first Nicholas Sparks book was "The Notebook" and that's when I fell in love. The movie was great too. I watched it three times. The Wedding was awesome too. He inspires me. Any recommendation for another Sparks great?
The Notebook. Since reading it and seeing the movie, I began to collect and read all his books and movies. He is my all time favorite author. I highly recommend reading all his books, including Three Weeks With My Brother written with his brother Michah Sparks.
Safe Haven. This led me to read more of Sparks' books. Of the ones I've read this is still my favorite.
At First Sight. I picked it up at a Walmart and started reading it while I was in the checkout, finished it in two days. passed it on to my brother inlaw and he shed a tear.
Was supposed to be "A Walk To Remember" but it wasn't available at the library, so I read "The Notebook" first.
All of Nicholas Sparks makes me cry, and not just a brief weepiness but an "all out" sobbing, which is why I stopped reading him!
The Notebook...husband came home and saw that I had been crying...took more than an hour to explain why, was too choked up !

For me it was also The Notebook, picked up years ago in a bargain basket in Asda. I've tried others by him and in my opinion none quite live up to this one.
