Mark Heyne Just to clarify the term, '3rd world' may have come to imply under-developed, but it started out meaning non-aligned to either Capitalist or Communist blocs. [FYI !]

Evelyn Rivera you are 100% right in this comment. I also was wondering what is a third world writer. I know Gabriel Marquez is from Colombia, however Colombia is not a third world country.
