         I know what you're talking about. I experienced this feeling after reading Message in a Bottle. Actually, after reading Message in a Bottle I wasn't able to read any other story by Nicholas for 6 months! I didn't think the ending was fair at all. I did, however, come to the conclusion that such things happen in real life as well, so I finally forced myself to get over it.
