It can be assumed by the names Cho Chang, Padma and Parvati Patil, and Blaise Zabini where they are from. You're right about Angelina, Lee, Dean, and Kingsley, though. It's up to the reader. I'm sure that what the directors did with the roles is what JK had in mind, though, when she said dark-skinned.
Well sure you could assume, however, that would not make you correct 100 percent of the time.
i think it is mentioned about angelina and dean that they are black. where is the blaise zabini from?
The last name is Italian, but in the movie, he was African English.
