The question is are Hogwart students taken from all over the country? or around the world? Are there only wizards and witches in Europe? or elsewhere in the world. Because then there should be ethnicities included at the school, even if they're not the main characters.
I think Hogwart's is the Great Britain school; Sturmdrang is the Bulgarian/German school; Beauxbaxtons is the French school. As of this date, no word on the name of the North American school. ;)
I must revise that! I'm re-reading GoF and at the Quidditch World Cup are a group of American witches gossiping beneath a banner that reads: The Salem Witches' Institute. :)
I can't imagine there isn't a school of witchcraft and wizardry in California somewhere. I imagined one in Nova Scotia, too, no reason why, really. haha!
That's right, Canada deserves its own school too! Just looked it up and apparently there's a school in Brazil (because Bill Weasley had a penpal there who sent him a cursed hat), SWI, and Pottermore says that there is one in Japan called Mahoutokoro. Those are the only other mentioned ones.
Ooh, also, in Tales of Beedle the Bard, they mention a Wizarding Academy of Dramatic Arts, and in the PoA movie there's a poster of the Academy of Broom Flying. I'd like to attend Wizarding Academy of the Dramatic Arts!
