some of the parts were missing in the movie that were in the book, but of course it hard to put everything in a 1 1/2 move. Over all I think they did a great job!
I loved the book, and the characters were well chosen, but, maybe because I am British and not American, I found it hard to follow the narrative because of their very strong southern drawl!
I loved the book, and only liked the movie. I want to meet the people in the book. We could be friends.

Agreed. This movie came closer than most. What a great book. I laughed. I cried. It's been two years since I read this book and it's still my favorite.
I disagree. I found that though the actors were good, that if you hadn't read the book it would be hard to follow. The way they skipped around the characters and skipped important parts (Celia and the miscarriage) made it such a failure in my mind.
