Definitely, I was quite surprised anyone missed that. When the big reveal actually happeend in the book I didn't feel like it was supposed to rock our worlds, just show characterization for both Sam and Edilio and a deeper idea of their friendship.
I agree :), I admire the fact that MG decided to reveal Edilio was gay so late into the books because he's a character we've come to all love and it just seems more realistic.
well it suits the whole thing about the character himself keeping his personal life pretty secretive.
