Elise COMPLETELY agree- all the best parts of the novel were not included in the film!

Sheena The movie for sure. I felt like with the book the ending was done too quick just to end the book.

Beccy The book is far better than the movie, The film is a good effort but it is too difficult to make the film feel personal, I didn't care about Susie Salmon, Ray or her family in the film. Although Susan Sarandon as her Gran is brilliant

Fran The book was so much better than the movie. But the movie was good!

Shadia Both movie and book brought me to tears because of the raw emotion depicted. In a way the movie portrayed the realism of having the faces of the characters come to life, whereas the book relies mostly on your active imagination to put the pieces together.

Denise The best part about the film was the grandmother - i thought her character was spot on. Rest of the movie was disappointing - especially the "heaven" scenes. Best part of the book - the start, the middle the end...

Nancy I read the book first and gave it 3 stars...I liked most of the characters except Abigail. The author didn't give me enough info to understand Abigail's actions. I enjoyed the movie more than the book and I found Abigail easier to like. Frankly, her actions in the book were unforgivable!
