You are a lucky ducky to have come across many great first book series. I've gotten back into reading after a long time away from it do to college stuff. But now that I'm back it is definitely a flip of the coin for me to even come across first books that are really stellar. I have more than enough people telling me so often just stick with the series and it gets better. But man there are several I still feel like I could have went on with my life and never read to begin with.
