I don't agree that Rosalie said no because she 'couldn't care less.' I think she made it very clear that her no was because she did, in fact, care.
i think the reason was (from the third book, Eclipse), that she wouldn't chose that kind of life for her. in this case, royce king sexually assaulted her, leaving her to die. lucky carlisle found her. rosalie doesn't like Bella because she says that she is "making the wrong decision" by marrying Edward. Bella deserves happiness, not some immortal life, knowing that there could have been someone better. the reason why i chose edward over jacob was because edward will do anything to protect her and is now a vampire. jacob, on the other hand, will just give her a normal life. Bella loves edward and vice versa.
