Sandie That is similar to Somewhere in time where she gives him the watch... he takes it back in time... and then leaves it back there with her..where she carries it forward in time and gives it to him.. where did that watch come from?? Interesting prospects.

Maria Love that film, thought no one else had seen it. I have wondered about that watch for years, just shows how careful you need to be when writing time travel stories!

Ryan McArthur I'm sure they are deliberate, its one of the many paradoxes that time travel generates

Gillian And the form reflected the meaning. In other words, the non-linear delivery of the story paralleled the back and forth of the actual time travel. Brilliant. If you like the non-linear aspect, without time travel necessarily, I recommend "If on a winter's night..." by Italo Calvino. It is like a jigsaw puzzle in the form of a book when trying to figure out the sequence of events.(less)
