Yes, that makes sense. I think Collins was trying to make a point about Katniss' epiphany about the dandelion and Peeta, and that Hope is supposed to prevail in their lives despite all that's been lost. But I think this is completely overridden by how tragic their fates turned out. My heart just goes out to all the characters.
