Thanks for the reply David. It's an interesting observation that you made about enhancing and increasing the Fredo scenes in the book. He's an important character in the book and going through how he went through in Las Vegas would've been a better prospect for the book's endurance in the the world of Classic Literature.

that part could have been filled with indepth Moe Greene actions or Fredo learning the ropes in Vegas. I agree, that vagina operation part was so out of place and useless.

The vagina operation in such detail would make sense only if it resulted in a bloody Mafia war.
Otherwise its like a whole chapter on getting a haircut.
