Totally agree with You. Mansfield Park is an outstanding novel of Jane Austen if you ask me. And the other books mentioned above are great as well.
If you like Pride and Prejudice...read Fitzwilliam Darcy Rockstar (it's awesome...I LOVED it more than the classic).
I to like most genres...can't say manga has gotten my attention...but that's beside the point...I would say if you like a book that takes you there...literally...Hemingway's "old man and the sea"...you literally feel the seaspray...
I don´t even know if you can count mangas to "real" books ^^
I've read a few mangas with characters as complex as anything in western fiction. It is a medium that contains everything from trash to masterpieces.
