Jaelle Yes. It's part of the book's very strong ant-war message. We want to believe that in war, there are very clear heroes and villains, but the truth is far from that. Rage, hate, revenge cause people to do things you wouldn't expect and even though Gale didn't necessarily approve the bomb for that purpose, the mentality behind that type of bomb led to consequences beyond his control. War is like that. It's very scary. It can destroy your soul. It's why we need to do everything we can to choose peace.
