exactly.
I thought the book fell apart 2/3rds into it and never recovered. It became predictable and too long. I didn't care who died. I just wanted it to be over.

Timothy--I agree. The last part of the novel--everything after Afghanistan--reads as if the writer's publisher said, "Make it longer! Make it longer!" It was extraneous, flabby, fluff. Other than that--very good book.
