well, maybe. But the world that Atwood describes, seems to have a strong "moral Code" -- just a frightening one. Moral Codes are fine for those that "write them"

I have to agree that moral codes are fine.. So long as you're the majority controlling it.
Question: Does anyone believe that masterbation is "evil," in God's eyes and why (?) Does it make a person "weak"? Does it make a person "bad" (?) SHould a person be embarrassed by underrtaking this action (?)( What is your opinions(?) Thank you very much, I am interested in understanding the concept better. WOuld God think it better I wonder if I went out with many sexual partners? Or masterbate if alone for 20 years (?) JIll Starr
