I thought about the series thing but hadn't heard any buzz about a second book, but that would totally explain it.
June 2012 if it's on schedule. I wasn't too excited about the ending. It felt like she'd written herself into a corner and hadn't figured her way out yet. Given the size of book one I'm not surprised it's taking so long for book 2 to come out. One of my friends is now reading it for the fourth time because with each re-read she's seeing something else she really likes about it. I'm going to re-read it before I read book 2 because it is such a dense read -- just about every page has something to consider in it. That said, has anyone else read Piper Maitland's Acquainted with the Night? Sorta kinda on the same lines.
Shadow of Night will be the second book and is actually schedule for US release on July 10, 2012. : )
Deb has finished the actual writing, but it is still in the publishing process (editing and whatnot). Deb has also been busy with the publicity for the first book and it's paperback release. She has a reading/signing tour going on. She is also a college professor and award winning wine blogger, so she has a lot on her plate, but she has been working hard and writing as fast as possible without sacrificing the story. : )
