"It is historical fiction" - According to whom? O'Reilly seems to think it's non-fiction. The NYT lists it in NON-FICTION bestsellers.
Battle of the Crater was historical fiction. This is presented as non-fiction, which means the authors and fact checkers came up short.
I think you need to check your facts - Battle of the Crater is not historical fiction. It's fact. It's the longest running trench warfare conflict fought during the Civil War.
I like that it puts the reader back in that time...we can experience what it was like to live at that time and in that place.
