I think you were /supposed/ to feel despair. Why are so many people surprised at how sad it was? It made me feel, that's what a book is supposed to do. :3
I couldn`t agree more. I waited three books for finally having somewhat conclusion to the love triagule. But the author decided to just write one paragraph about it. I just thought that there was not enough about how relationships continued after the tragedy.
I believe the author emphasized their emotional trauma excessively.
