Yup.
She had powers of witchcraft. I mean powers of being a witch, which I think they kept track of: when someone showed those powers, they knew it.
OTOH, her parents were probably freaked out. If they were like mine they would have been, but mine were like the Dursleys, meaning they didn't like all that stuff of being different from most people.
