the pillars of the earth is probably closest thing I read, but let's face it- impossible to find an equal to alexander. and i'm sorry but jamie fraser doesn't come close!
Like you, I have been searching for great books since I was ruined for all other romance novels after TBH. I agree with all comments on here. I LOVED the Tea Rose series, and also enjoyed Outlander, Into the Wilderness, and the Russian Concubine.
