i'm not saying jacobs right 4 doing this but nessie is bella's kid so she probably has similar characteristics of bella that jacob likes
wait lol he realized in the last book that it wasn't Bella that he was after; it was Nessie. He was drawn to Bella because she carried some of Nessie's genes and was the future carrier of her. He NEVER acted the way he does with Nessie with Bella. By the end of Breaking Dawn he was totally over Bella romantically and had a sort of brotherly-unconditional love. He even says that he imprinted on Renesmee.
