That was more the movie's take on it. In the book, I don't remember him saying or thinking anything about "world peace." He doesn't strike me as that kind of guy anyway.
Accept entirely that the film made that clear, but I feel that the inference is within the book. I will have to dig out my very old copy of the book and look for them. I admit to not having read the book for many years.
All boomers are essentially undetectable, that's the point of them. This one was (slightly) better.
