Seriously read The Shining, and It both are Stephen King....keep the lights on! Have fun.
Oh and Pet Cemetary really gives you the creeps, ESP if you have a cat.
Definitely check out "The Call of Cthulhu" by HP Lovecraft. Scary even now!
