Yes, that's what I said. The book is whole on its own, it doesn't need more. Any other book that comes after this one will seem forced.

well when i finished this book i thought she wrapped it up.. i didnt think at all that there would be a series?
It would be a forced series. And the movie - eh, I don't know how good it will be, but I guess we'll have to see!

No, the way the book ends is perfect. I think it gives your imagination a chance to like about what will happen now Jed's group have found more unaffected human - will they find more groups, will they continue to rescue more people.
Agree with Claire. It's an open ending, and it lets you imagine what could come next. Love this book, it's different.

they've been talking about a second book called the soul
What would the second book be about, it seemed pretty much over to me.
