I want to read the book...I saw the film...I loved it, but i really cried....is the book more of a tear-jerker?
I listened to the audiobook which was 16 hours long and I think I cried through one fourth of it. I loved the movie too, but you really get to know Emma & Dexter in the book...what makes them tick. For instance, in the scene where they are skinny-dipping & Dex tells Emma he thinks about her a lot, in the book he is thinking he doesn't want to give her the wrong idea or give her false hope, so he adds "but I pretty much fancy everyone." In the movie you don't realize that is why he said that.
