Huck Finn is not equivalent to TKAM. I love Huck Finn, but would not recommend replacing Mockingbird with it. If push came to shove, I'd recommend replacing it with a book on the same themes written by a Black author or member of another minority group: Red Bone, Mother of Pearl, I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings, Song of Solomon.
I'll have to take your word on that since I've never read any of those books. *lowers head in shame*
