Katherine: good thoughts.
I think they are the opposite of each other that brings out an interesting relationship. Ranger is the nemesis, of the bad boy we want but can't settle down with, bringing up the question of can we love without commitment? And Stephanie is no different, she wants kids, family but she also wants the bad boy!
I think Steph loves both of them in her own fashion. But I get the feeling that J.E. likes both of them too much to let Steph settle on just one. It creates an interesting romantic tension.
I think this is surch an accurate description Katherine. Plus we know Ranger has in the past settled down and has a daughter that he still sees sometimes.
