I had the same feelings about Genet.
I do not think she intentionally infected Marion. Yet, I still wish she had never re-entered his life.
My impression was that Genet did not know (and I think it said so in the book, but don't hold me to that) she had hepatitis, which wouldn't be unusual given her situation. I found myself wondering why Marion didn't use a condom! But then again, it was a moment of passion, and she was his "sister." Ooooooh!
