I've never been interested in American History, nor the Civil Rights Movement, (my major in color was Medieval history with one class in African-American History from 1865 to present), but I LOVE this book. It is a terrific story about women you can identify with and care for regardless of their race, age, or social status. And Kathryn does a great job of mixing all of those things up into a spicy "stew." 5 stars
I loved this book,my mother was the HELP and this book brought back memories some good some bad
