Why publication order? Even though Clockwork Angel was published between the last two in MI, it's a prequel to the MI series. The whole ID series is a prequel to the MI series.
actually... not really. ID is a prequel meaning it is set 130 years ago... Read it in publication order because this is how it makes the best sense. You probably won't understand Clockwork Angel much if you haven't read City of Bones...
