The last 2 episodes were very good, and HBO has said that they will renew the show for another season.
I haven't seen the series so I can't comment on that. However I do tell new readers to just get all of them at once because when you finish one at 2am you will want to keep reading. Suffice it to say that when I got to the authors note in book 4 about the upcoming sequel (3 years ago) I was really upset...more so now that I am still waiting.
He doesn't change the character every two pages. From one chapter to the next, certainly, but not every two pages.
If you want to read something that DOES change characters every two pages, you should try Pierre Pevel.
That is why I read Clavell, nobody does it better.
Shogun is regarded as one of the greatest historical novels of all time; truly amazing... also one of the longest books of all time coming in at over 1000 pages.
King Rat was his first book and it is good as well. I read Tai Pan and wasn't my fav. I hear Gai Jin is good, and I'll get to it soon.
All his books are known as the "Asian Saga."
