Firstly, I disagree somewhat that it wasn't self defence, although she had the opportunity to run away, she new he would probably continue looking for her. Although in the eyes of the law, she escaped and went back out of *free will*... those eyes were not on the event and they wouldve only had Pip's word and the forensic evidence that she'd been kidnapped. Secondly, I agree that im glad she did it. I think most of the book was pretty slow and a bit of a reading slump. I tried to re-read it recently as an audiobook, and it was just too slow. That ended skyrocketed the book into higher stars for me. Its fictional, morals go out the window. And they should.
