right!! I don't understand why so many people think that this is a great love story!?!
I bought it because of the hype and was soooo disappointed. I really wanted to like it, but nothing really happens even after all the build up about the competition... like WTH. Even the romance was unbelievable and flat.
I can 100% relate to this. The person who recommended me this book absolutely loved it, but I found the ending a bit directionless? if that makes sense. I loved some of the chapters, and I was really looking forward to a battle b/w Celia and Marco but that never happened.. Also it almost felt as if the author didn't know what to do with the plot towards the end. Nonetheless I really enjoyed the first half of the book. The descriptions are vivid and magical and it was worth the read.
YES! I just finished this book after someone told me how amazing it was, and I am so disappointed? Like how could this be someone's fave book? Each to their own of course,
I enjoyed the plot, descriptions, and worldbuilding, but thought the characters were flat, and didn't like the prose.
