Oh, preach it, Sister. She IS the most long winded author ever. I cannot imagine how she draws this out. I dabble in writing. I sure as heck don't claim to be good. I just do it for my own enjoyment. I've tried to put in a bit more detail, etc. I just don't know how she does it or why physicians don't prescribe her books as a sleep aid.
I wonder how these books ever got published with pages of extraneous detail. Isn't that like a huge no-no in writing? I tried to read the first book as well and couldn't get through the first few chapters. I do like the show, but even with that I lose interest and have to take a break from it. It's definitely not binge-worthy. Some parts drag and drag over several episodes while the parts I thought were interesting flash by.
